Sharrington & District Gardening Group, based in North Norfolk, is a friendly, sociable group of people interested in gardening, but not necessarily experienced gardeners.

We enjoy getting together on a regular basis over a glass of wine to learn a little more from our various guest speakers and visiting inspirational gardens.”
History
The group was established in 2011 with the idea of swapping seeds and plants. Membership quickly grew in numbers and also location. To reflect this growth in 2015 the group became Sharrington & District Gardening Group.
Since then we have enjoyed many memorable talks and outings; from Alan Gray of East Ruston to Nick Bailey, garden maker, author and BBC Gardener’s World presenter and many glorious and notable private gardens including Thorpland Hall, Salle Park, Severals Grange and a visit to Copy’s Green Dairy Farm to see the working farm and sample all of the locally famous cheeses! We have organised local village garden safaris, pruning demonstrations, bulb sales and plant swaps. You can also take a look at Past Events to see even more of what we have enjoyed.

Our members
With over 70 members drawn from villages scattered over north Norfolk we generally meet on a Wednesday evening in the middle of the month in a variety of local village halls, including Field Dalling, Sharrington and Binham.
Our calendar of events is planned to suit both the experienced and novice gardeners.
Guests are welcomed at the majority of our events.
New members are always welcome.
